Vivo has launched its thinnest foldable phone X Fold 5. This foldable phone, which opens like the book, will get a large screen of 8.03 inches. Apart from this, the phone comes with many bodybuilders including 16GB RAM. This foldable phone to Vivo may present a tough challenge for Samsung Galaxy Z Fol 5, launched on July 9.
How much is the price?
Vivo has introduced this foldable smartphone’s domestic market ie China. This phone has been introduced at an initial price of CNY 6999 i.e. about 83,000 rupees. The Vivo X Fold 5 has been introduced in three attractive color options – Baibai (Green), Quingsong (White) and Titanium (Black). Its sale will start from July 2. It can be purchased from e-commerce website as well as retail stores.
It has been launched in four storage variants- 12GB RAM + 256GB, 12GB RAM + 512GB, 16GB Ram + 512GB and 16GB Ram + 1TB. Its other three variants are priced at CNY 7,999 (about 96,000 rupees), CNY 8,499 (about Rs 1,02,000) and CNY 9,499 (about Rs 1,14,000) respectively.

This foldable phone of Vivo comes with 8.03 inch 8t Ltpo Flexible Main display. Apart from this, the phone will also get a 6.53 inch 8T Ltpo secondary display. Both these displays support 120Hz high refresh rates and peak brightness features up to 4500 nits. It contains many certifications including PWM dimming rate, Global Eye Protection 3.0.
Vivo X Fold 5 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It will get 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage support up to 1TB. This foldable phone works on Originos 5 based on Android 15. This phone also has apple ecosystem compatibility for iPhone users.
Triple camera setup is available in the back of this foldable phone. The phone will get a 50MP main camera. Apart from this, 50MP ultra wide and 50MP pericopa lens have been given. The camera of this phone will support optical zoom up to 3x. For selfie and video calling, the phone will get a 20MP camera.
This phone comes with a powerful battery of 6,000mAh. It will get 80W wired and 40W wireless fast charging support. The thickness of this foldable phone is just 4.03mm without turning. At the same time, its thickness is 9.2mm after folded. It provides IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+ rating, due to which the phone is not spoiled even after keeping it in water.
