Volcanic again in Indonesia, lava-rakh gubar lifted up to 10 km height
Volcanic eruptions in Indonesia raised the sky in the sky.
Lambata (Indonesia): Mount Levotobi Laki Laki volcano of Indonesia again burnt on Wednesday. The ash and smoke that rises from this reached a height of 10 km in the sky. Due to this, the surrounding villages were evacuated. Tourists from India and abroad got upset due to cancellation of flights coming and going to Bali Island. The ash spread to 5,000 meters in the sky due to several explosions from Tuesday evening to Wednesday afternoon in the volcano.
Brown clouds dominated 10 kilometers height
On Tuesday afternoon, after the volcano erupted, dense brown clouds were seen up to 10,000 meters height due to the ash and lava emanating from the volcano. The ash was so huge that it could be seen from 150 kilometers away. Meanwhile, Air India’s Delhi-Bali flight had to be taken back to Delhi on Wednesday due to a volcanic explosion near Bali Airport. The aviation company gave this information in a statement. Air India said in a statement that the flight was safely launched in Delhi and all passengers have been removed.
Nearby areas empty
The volcanic erupt warning increased to the highest level and the scope of the area of danger increased to eight km from the volcano. To avoid the lava that came out of the explosion, the authorities also vacated the Mount Levotobi Laki Monitoring Outpost, seven kilometers from the volcano. No casualties were reported in the incident yet. The National Disaster Management Agency said in a statement that after the volcanic explosion, ash and debris fell outside the danger area at several places including Boru, Heva and Watobubooku villages. Some residents from Nurabelane village in Ele Bura Upazila moved to safe places in Konga for rescue. The agency spokesman Abdul Muhari said, “Some residents also vacated Nilakanoheng village which is 12 km from the volcano.”
Flights connecting many countries canceled
According to the website of Bali’s I Gusti Nurah Rai International Airport, several flights, including flights connecting Bali to several cities in Australia, Malaysia, India and China, were canceled on Wednesday. The warm ash that rises from the volcano can threaten the engine of the aircraft. The flights coming to the international airport at Labuan Bazo, another tourist place in Flores Island in Flores Island in East Nusa Tengara province, have also been canceled. Thousands of passengers have been affected due to the cancellation of flights or delay in them. Airline Jetstar, which operates daily flights among many cities in Australia and the famous tourist destinations of Indonesia, said that the cloud of ash is expected to be cleaned by late Wednesday evening and after that its services would be restored.
