BSNL Quantum 5G Service Launch
The wait for crores of users of BSNL is over. The government telecom company has launched its Quantum 5G service soft. BSNL is going to launch its 5G service in many more selected cities of the country soon. Earlier, the company has decided to name its 5G service ie Quantum 5G on suggesting users. BSNL issued an official statement saying that 5G service has been launched soft i.e. this commercially has not been launched.
5G service launch
BSNL India told its X handle that the company’s CMD A Robert J Ravi launched the Quantum 5G FWA (fixed wireless access) service in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Soon, it will be launched in other selected cities of the country. Through this service, users will get superfast 5G internet access. Users will be able to access fast internet through BSNL Q-5G FWA.
1 lakh new 4G/5G tower
Earlier, the company has decided to set up 1 lakh and new 4G/5G mobile towers to improve its network in the country. For this, approval is awaited from the Union Cabinet. Last year, BSNL decided to install 1 lakh 4G/5G mobile towers, out of which more than 70 thousand mobile tower has been made live. At the same time, the company has completed the work of setting up 1 lakh new towers. 1 lakh more towers will be installed for better connectivity.
Investment of Rs 13 thousand crore
In May 2023, BSNL gave Ericsson a contract to install telecom equipment. Apart from this, Tata Consultancy Services and Tejas Network were given the task of installing mobile towers. The government telecom company has invested Rs 13 thousand crore for maintenance of its new 4G mobile tower for the next 10 years. 1 lakh 4G/5G towers of the government telecom company have been installed, out of which more than 70 thousand towers have gone live.
