Warning of rain with dust storm in 8 states including Delhi
Rain alert in many states
New Delhi: A new western disturbance is likely to come in the north-west India. Due to its effect, many states of the country may receive rain with strong winds during the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has warned of thunderstorms, lightning shining and light to moderate rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir-Ladkit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during May 1 to May 5. During this period, winds can also move at a speed of 30-50 kmph.
Rain alert in these states
The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of thunderstorms in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during April 30 to May 4. During this period, strong winds are also expected to blow at a speed of 40-60 kmph. Assam and Meghalaya are expected to receive heavy rainfall on 30 April. There is a possibility of dust storm in eastern Uttar Pradesh on 30 April. On May 1, rain is forecast with strong winds in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and 01-05 May.
Light rain may occur in these states
According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, during the next 7 days, there may be light to moderate rainfall in Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu Puducherry and Karaikal. There is a possibility of wind at a speed of 30–40 km per hour, which can increase to 50 kmph. North interior Karnataka is likely to have drizzle with thunder on 2 and 03 May.
There is no possibility of any significant change in the maximum temperature in northwest India during the next 2 days and there is a possibility of decline of 2–4 degrees Celsius in 5 days. There is no possibility of any significant change in the maximum temperature in the rest of the country.
Heat Wave Warning
Heat wave is likely to remain in different areas of Himachal Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan. Today, heat in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh can disturb people. Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal will also heat up.
