New Delhi: In many states of the country, there is a lot of rain. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many parts of the country today i.e. on Wednesday. On Wednesday, a warning of torrential rains has been issued in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Eastern UP and Western UP. Along with this, there is a possibility of extremely heavy rains in Jammu, Assam, West Bengal and parts of Sikkim.
There will be strong rains in these states
The Meteorological Department said that a new round of heavy rains will be seen in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Telangana from August 13 to 17, while Telangana is expected to receive extreme heavy rains on 13 and 14 August. Konkan, Goa and Ghat areas of Central Maharashtra are expected to receive heavy rainfall between August 15 to 18.
Torrential rain alert in hilly states
The Meteorological Department said that during August 13-15, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places with thunder and lightning in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad during the next 7 days. In many parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal, landslides occurred due to rain during the last 24 hours and many roads had to be closed for traffic. 398 roads including three National Highways (NH) in Himachal had to be closed for traffic.
