Warship Udayagiri and Himgiri

The Indian Navy’s two modern front -line warship Udayagiri (F35) and Himgiri (F34) will be watered here on 26 August in Visakhapatnam. Officials of Eastern Navy Command gave this information. This will be the first time from the watering of these two warships when two major fighter ships of two prestigious Indian shipyards are being burnt at the same time in Visakhapatnam.

Udayagiri is the second vessel of ‘Stealth Frigate’

On behalf of the Indian Navy, it was said, “The Indian Navy is preparing to collect two advanced front -line warship Udayagiri (F35) and Himgiri (F34) together on 26 August.” According to the Eastern Navy Command (ENC), Udayagiri, Project 17A’s ‘Stealth Frigate’ (Warship) is the second vessel and is built by Mumbai -based Majhgaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), while Himgiri, Garden Reach Shipbuilders (GRSE), is the first among the PITIs built by Kolkata.

Ability of about 6,700 tonnes

The two warships represent a generational development compared to earlier designs. The P17A-class warships of about 6,700 tonnes capacity are about five percent larger than the warship of its predecessor Shivalik-line.

Use of diesel engines and gas turbines

These warships are operated by joint diesel or codog propulsion plants, which uses diesel engines and gas turbines. These vessels run from the controlgic-picked propeller and are managed through an integrated stage management system (IPMS).

Will be equipped with dangerous weapons

These warships ‘supersonic’ surface-to-surface missiles, medium-range surface-to-air missiles, 76 millimeters MR guns and 30 millimeters and 12.7 mm ‘close-in’ arms systems and armed with anti-submarine/underwater arms systems.
