Yuzvendra Chahal completed his second hat -trick in IPL 2025 against Chennai Super Kings. Chahal not only stopped Chennai from scoring a big score by taking four wickets in four balls in the 19th over, but also made many records in IPL history. This is the first IPL hat -trick taken against Chennai.

Yuzvendra Chahal, playing for Punjab Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, on Wednesday, bowled tremendously against Chennai Super Kings. This was Chahal’s second hat -trick of IPL career, which he completed in the 19th over of his third over. With this, he has become the third bowler to take a hat -trick twice in the IPL.

The first ball of the 19th over was Wide, after which Dhoni hit a six. But on the next ball, Chahal walked Dhoni. After this, Deepak Hooda took two runs, then Chahal got him caught by Priyesh Arya. Chahal completed the hat -trick by dismissing Anshul Kamboj and Noor Ahmed off the next two balls. He also celebrated his trademark ‘Mem Pose’ after taking wickets.

This is the first hat -trick in IPL history against Chennai Super Kings. Earlier this record was not the name of any bowler. Also at the Chepock Stadium it is only the second hat -trick, the first hat -trick was taken by Laxmipati Balaji in the year 2008.

Chahal took a total of four wickets in this over and took 4 wickets for 32 runs in his three overs. Along with this, he also held a record of taking four or more wickets in an innings most times in the IPL, in this case he left behind Sunil Narayan.
