Talking about this match, Rohit Sharma and Johnny Beireso landed to start the innings for Mumbai. Both shared an 84 -run partnership in 7.2 overs. Bairesto was dismissed for 47 runs with the help of three sixes and four fours off 22 balls. Rohit Sharma scored four sixes and nine fours off 50 balls, scoring 81 runs. Rohit had a chance to complete his third IPL century, but he lost his wicket in an attempt to increase the run pace.
For Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma and captain Hardik Pandya played small but important and explosive innings. Suryakumar Yadav scored 33 runs in 20 balls with three sixes and a four, Tilak Verma scored three sixes off 11 balls and Hardik Pandya scored three sixes off nine balls. On the basis of these innings, Mumbai scored 228 runs in 20 overs at the loss of five wickets.
