Watch jupiter from earth without telescope november 3rd 2023 next to the moon
Seeing the planets and stars in the night sky is a wonderful experience. In different months of the year we are able to see different planets without the help of a telescope. Once again this opportunity is coming. In the next few days, whatever brightest star you see near the Moon will not actually be a star but the planet Jupiter. The special thing is that as soon as the sun sets, the planet Jupiter will become visible and it can be seen throughout the night.
This is possible because of Jupiter’s position in the sky. According to the report of Time and Date, the planet Jupiter is now our opposite i.e. it is exactly opposite to the Sun in the sky. This is the reason why the planet Jupiter can be seen immediately after sunset. If you have binoculars, the experience will be even better.
The report says that the planet Jupiter reaches the opposition of the Sun approximately every 399 days or 13 months. This year this situation is coming on 3rd November. During this time this gaseous planet will be at its closest point to the Earth. Because of this its brightness will increase even more.
It is the largest planet in our solar system. The mass of Jupiter is 318 times that of Earth. This is the reason why it will be visible throughout the night. What is also special is that Jupiter rotates the fastest among the planets of our solar system. It completes one revolution on its axis in 10 hours.
Remember that on November 3, you will be able to see Jupiter closest and clearest to Earth. According to time and date, it will be visible from 5.32 pm in New Delhi in India and will be visible till 6.35 the next morning. As we said, it can be seen with the naked eye. If you have binoculars the experience will be doubled.
