Watch: Sourav Ganguly’s brother and sister-in-law, narrowly stumble after the boat overturned
Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly’s brother Snehashish Ganguly and his wife Arpita narrowly survived in Odisha on Sunday. The couple was holidaying in Puri with their family and when the Ganguly family was enjoying water sports on the beach, the incident happened. His speedboat overturned into the sea but the honor was that the lifeguard saved a big accident.
In a video that went viral, it can be seen that the speedboat is seen to be upside down on the sea boom, while the lifeguards are trying to save tourists. Authorities used rubber float to save them. After this accident, Arpita Ganguly alleged that the boat was lighter due to the low capacity of the passengers in the boat, due to which it overturned.
Arpita Ganguly said, “The sea was already very bumpy. The boat had the capacity of 10 people to sit on the boat, but in the greed of money, he allowed only three to four people to ride. It was the last boat going to the sea that day. Did not do if there were more people on the boat, then the boat would not have turned. “
Arpita also called for more checking of the operators operating the boats for such activities. He said, “Officers should ban these games here. The sea is very stormy on Puri Beach. After going back to Kolkata, I will write a letter to the Superintendent of Police and the Chief Minister and ask them to close the water structure here.”
