‘We play in the Spirit of the Game ..’, Harry Brook attributed India for the hot-summer in Lord’s Test
The heat between India and England players in the Lord’s Test has now come into the discussion once again. England batsman Harry Brook has given a big statement on the entire matter and has given more air to the debate. Before the fourth Test, Brook said that England always plays in the ‘Spirit of the Game’, but the reason for the deteriorating situation in that match was something else. Now this statement is making new headlines before the Manchester Test.
The atmosphere of Lord’s Test was nothing short of a drama. During the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah in the last over of the third day, there was a lot of sharp noise between the players of India and England over Zack Croly and Ben Docket. Team India felt that Crolley was spoiling the time to announce stumps. For this reason, Shubman Gill, Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj raised a finger on Crolly, while the captain clashed with Docket.
England also responded on the fourth day. Ben Stokes played sarcastic claps and Bridan Cars in an aggressive manner shouted words on Akashdeep. Eventually, India piled up chasing the target of 193 runs and lagged 2–1 in the series.
