WTC Final 2025 Tempa Bavuma Statement: The final match of the World Test Championship 2023-25 was played from 11 June to 14 June at Lord’s Lords. The match was played between Australia and South Africa. South Africa managed to win it by 5 wickets. This is South Africa’s first ICC tournament win since 1998. After stopping Australia from becoming the second world Test champion for the second time, South African captain Temba Bavuma gave a befitting reply to the critics and praised the team’s players.

After winning the final match of the World Test Championship 2025, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma said, “These were some very special days. Many times it did not think that we are playing outside South Africa. We had made strict preparations and we were confident, even though many people were confident in us, we are doubting that we were skeptical.”
He further said, “This moment is very important for us and the people of our country. Perhaps we will take a few days to feel this victory completely. Our team was waiting for this moment for a long time. We were constantly trying, failed many times, but luck this time was with us. Hopefully, this victory will begin many more victories.”

Temba Bavuma praised her colleagues, saying, “Rabada (KG) is a very big player for us. A few days ago I went to the event of the Hall of Fame, I think he will be named there in a few years. He landed on the field and performed amazing.”
