West Indies team announced for T20 series against Pakistan, 4 changes after shameful defeat from Australia
West Indies T20 Squad Against Pakistan: The West Indies have made a major reshuffle in the T20 team after a crushing defeat against Australia. Four players have been dropped before the 3 -match T20 series against Pakistan and four new faces have got a chance. The series will be played on August 1, 3 and 4 at the Browd County Stadium in Florida.
The West Indies Cricket Board (CWI) has announced its team for the three -match T20 series against Pakistan on Thursday, 31 July. Four major changes have been made in this team. The decision has been taken after the recent defeat of 0-5 in the five-match T20 series against Australia, in which the West Indies did not win a single match.
After losing eight consecutive matches against Australia, West Indies are now looking for a return against Pakistan. Although Pakistan’s team is not considered strong like Australia, the Windies do not want to leave any kind of laxity.
The four players who have been excluded from the team include Aljari Joseph, Evin Lewis, Shimron Hetmyer and Brandon King. Joseph is rested under the workload management, while Lewis are injured. Hetmyer and King had a side strain in the last T20 against Australia.
He has been replaced by Shamar Joseph, Casey Carte, Alex Etnaaz and Johnson Charles in the team. Shamar Joseph’s return will be special as he recently made headlines at his pace in Test cricket.
