Deep Dasgupta on last over drama: The third day of the Lord’s Test ended in a dramatic manner when India equaled the score of 387 runs of England’s first innings. During this time, Indian captain Shubman Gill was agitated on England opener Jack Croly. In Jasprit Bumrah’s over, Crolley left his crease twice, which Gill accused him of wasting time.
The Indian commentator also jumped into the controversy and questioned England’s “sportsmanship”, but when the truth was revealed in the replay, he had to apologize on-air.

England opener Jack Crolee was facing the balls of Jaspreet Bumrah. On the third ball of the over, he left the crease citing a stir near the site screen. Shortly thereafter, he called the physio and removed his gloves, complaining of hand pain. Indian captain Shubman Gill got this action ‘strategy to waste time’ and he was enraged on the crown on the field. Commentators apologize on live TV
Indian players were also seen clapping this act as a drama. There was a sharp debate between the two players and the matter was heated. Shubman Gill and Jack Carouly were seen raising fingers on each other.
Meanwhile, Indian commentators also described Jack Caruli’s antics as “against sportsmanship”. Commentator Deep Dasgupta on Giostar Hindi said that the ball was not on his hand, yet the physio was called. Another commentator asked, “What happened to Bazball?” And the atmosphere became hot.

However, when the replay ran, the truth came out. The ball was actually on the end of the fingers of Jack Carouly. Seeing this, the commentators immediately apologized on-air and admitted that they were wrong.
