Prime Minister Modi inaugurated Semicon India 2025 in Delhi. In this, the first semi -conductor chip made in the country has been launched. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav presented the first chip made in the country to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On this occasion, he also presented the test chips of Vikram 32-bit processor and four other sanction projects. It is prepared by making ISRO semiconductor lab.

What are the characteristics

  • It is an advanced version of already prepared indigenous 16-bit Vikram1601, which has been used in the avionics system of ISRO’s launch vehicles since 2009.

  • It can be quite helpful in space and defense sector. Vikram 3201 processor is specially designed to work in extreme conditions of space launch vehicles

  • It can bear extreme conditions such as heat, cold, vibration and pressure during space flights.

  • It is a microprocessor chip that can do many types of work, such as calculating, processing data and running control systems. This processor can process 32 bits data at a time.

From today the Semicon India 2025 conference has started, which will run till 4 September. About 2,500 delegates from more than 48 countries are attending this conference. Here will be discussed in detail on new opportunities for semiconductor fabrication, advanced packaging projects, artificial intelligence, research, smart manufacturing and investment. Today, five semiconductor units are working rapidly in India.

Minister Vaishnav said that handing over the first Made-in-India chip to PM Modi today is a major achievement of this journey and India will become stronger in this region in the coming time. IT Minister Vaishnav said that a few years ago the ‘India Semiconductor Mission’ started with the Prime Minister’s visionary thinking. India has attracted the attention of the world in only three and a half years.

New employment opportunities will increase

According to reports, production of chips will start from two more new plants in the country in the coming 2-3 months. Also, manufacturing of four more semicon units is also being worked out rapidly. The advantage of this will be clearly visible on India’s digital economy, electronics manufacturing and new employment opportunities.

Small chip will bring a big change in the world

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that the day is not far when India’s smallest chip will bring the biggest change in the world. Prime Minister Modi said that as oil is called black gold, the semiconductor chip is digital diamond. The growth of the 21st century is based on these chips. A small chip will bring great progress and innovation in the coming time.

Today the whole world is expressing confidence in India and the future of the semiconductor is ready to create the future with India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that even when the world’s economy is struggling with many types of concerns and challenges related to economic selfishness, India still recorded a growth rate of 7.8% in the first quarter of this year. This development is clearly visible in every sector like manufacturing, service, agriculture and construction. Input agencies edited by: Sudhir Sharma
