What is PM Modi said for farmers on Independence Day, what is the wealth and agricultural scheme?

On the occasion of 79th Independence Day, PM Modi gave a 103 -minute long speech. During this time, he put the roadmap to strengthen the country further in front of the public and also started many new schemes. During this time, he also said many important things for the farmers. PM Modi said that farmers of India, fishermen of India, cattle rearers of India. Modi stands as a wall in front of any harmful policy related to them. India will never accept any agreement regarding its farmers, cattle rearers, fishermen.

PM Modi also gave a message to US President Donald Trump along with farmers from the Red Fort. Donald Trump has imposed 50 percent tariff on India. It is believed that India refused to trade with the US on the dairy sector. This is one of those important reasons, due to which Trump has put a tariff on India by making excuses of Russian oil. PM Modi made it clear on Independence Day that he would not compromise with the interests of farmers at any cost.

Dhan Dhanya Yojana mentioned

PM Modi also mentioned Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana in his speech. This scheme has been launched by the Government of India in the month of July this year. Through this, the government will help farmers in those areas who are backward in terms of agriculture. The PM said that the government should not be in the files. The government should be in the life of the citizens of the country. Be a Dalit, suffer, be exploited, deprived. Governments should be proactive for them. We make a constant effort in that direction.

What is Prime Minister Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana?

The Prime Minister Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana was approved on July 16, 2025. Through this scheme, investment will be made in 100 districts which are behind in the agriculture sector. Through this, Rs 24,000 crore will be spent in six years. Its objective is to increase productivity, increase crop diversification, improve irrigation and storage and ensure accessibility of debt. Its main focus will be on agriculture and its related activities. Through this scheme, 36 schemes of 11 ministries will be given direct benefits to 1.7 crore farmers. The Prime Minister Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana is not a new scheme, but ensures that the benefits of different schemes running for farmers reach them in sufficient amounts in the right way. Through this, district level schemes will be prepared by the district collectors in collaboration with agricultural universities and NITI Aayog. Digital dashboard, peasant app and district ranking system will ensure transparency, access and accountability.
