What to eat during Kavad Yatra:

1. Satvik food:

– Food made without garlic-potaz.

– Plain food like lentils, rice, bread, vegetables.

2. Fruit and Dried Mews:

– Fruits like banana, apple, orange, papaya.

– Almonds, raisins, walnuts etc.

3. Milk and milk products:

– Milk, curd, math (if fresh).

4. Fasting material:

– Sago, kuttu or water chestnut flour, Sama rice.

– Use rock salt.

5. Lemonade, coconut water, and herbal drinks:

– There is no lack of water in the body, so be hydrated.

6. Homemade fresh food:

– If possible, make yourself or take it from reliable reserves.

What not to eat during Kavad Yatra:

1. Garlic and onion:

– They are considered tamasic, so intake is prohibited.

2. Non -vegetarian and egg:

– Is completely forbidden.

3. Food made from religious dignity:

– Hotel or dhabas food (if not sattvic).

4. Packed/Processed Food:

– Avoid chips, biscuits, cold drinks etc.

5. Drugs:

– Alcohol, tobacco, gutkha, paan masala etc. are completely prohibited.

6. General Salt:

– Use only rock salt during the fast.

Special attention to be noted:

• Take care of cleanliness.

• Drink water or drink bottled.

• Give enough rest to the body in case of fatigue.

• Prasad and food should be received by sitting at a holy place.
