The great scientist Stephen Hawking warned many years ago that contacting Alien could be very dangerous for humanity. Now some scientists are expressing concern about this prediction. He believes that some of the recent astronomical events can make the truth of Hawking true.
What was Hawking’s warning?
Stephen Hawking warned the world that contacting alien life could prove to be disastrous for mankind. He believed that actively searching for external planets would lead to a fatal attack. In the same way, in the past, cultures on Earth had eradicated less advanced civilizations.
Hawking said in 2004, “The history of advanced castes meeting primitive people has not been very pleasant. They belonged to the same species, yet they destroyed the less developed civilization. I think we should keep our head down in the case of alien.” He had advised that we should avoid actively promoting our presence in the universe. He advocated not to show activeness in the discovery of intelligent alien life.
Why scientist worried about Hawking’s prediction?
Hawking’s warning recently got noticed again when Professor AV Laib, an astronomer of Harvard, claimed that a mysterious thing passing by Earth in December could be a hostile UFO. This object is named 3i/Atlas and some scientists consider it a common comet. However, Loaib argues that its speed and unusual way suggests that it is made in an artificial manner. Lobeb believes that such vehicles and controlling creatures can come to our solar system for two reasons: either in a harmless manner or hostile. He called it ‘intelligence trap’ (ie a web of intellect), where more confidence can be a philosophy.
What if the prophecy is true?
Professor Laib has warned that if his hypothesis proves true then its consequences can be very bad for humanity. He told that even though we take defensive measures, they can prove to be useless.
Hawking had said even before his death that if we meet an advanced civilization, it would be the same as the original Americans faced Christopher Columbus for the first time. He had said that we should be very careful in responding to any signal sent to the universe.
Scientists believe that this warning of Hawking tells us that contacting Alien can cause more damage than benefits. Even though some scientists explain many advantages of contacting alien, Hawking and other scientists support their views emphasize that broadcasting their presence in another world can be a strategic mistake.
