All the phones in the list have become old long ago. But due to this problem, your smartphone is not running, so you should check whether your smartphone is up-to-date or not. If the phone is still getting software updates, which will follow the iphone iOS 15.1 or subsequent version and Android Android will run on 5.1 or subsequent version, then Whatsapp will also run on your phone.
What is the reason for closure
The main reason behind this decision of WhatsApp is security. Since Apple no longer provides software updates for these older iOS versions, devices become more sensitive to safety risks. Without frequent safety patch, users become more sensitive to violations – this is one of the main reasons why Whatsapp is urging people to visit new hardware and operating system.
Why whatsapp made this decision
In the last few months, WhatsApp has introduced several updates for the purpose of strengthening the privacy of users and protecting personal data. Whatsapp has increased a tool like chat lock, which allows users to secure personal chat with passwords, fingerprints or face IDs. The functions of missing messages have also been improved, which provide more control to users on how long their messages appear automatically before disappearing. Edited by: Sudhir Sharma
