New Delhi: National Conference President and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah dismissed the Congress’ allegation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is “missing” amid growing tension with Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. Abdullah said, “Where he is missing? I know he is in Delhi.”

The former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir told the news agency PTI that we have given our full support to the Prime Minister. After that we should not be questioned. The Prime Minister should do whatever work it has to do.

Congress’s tweet created political uproar

In fact, the picture posted by the Congress on X without naming PM Modi had an old picture of the Prime Minister, in which his body was missing and only clothes were seen. The Congress wrote in the caption “Time of responsibility – missing”. The Congress later removed the post after criticism.

Abdullah gave a strong message to Pakistan

Abdullah replied to Pakistan’s claims of repeated nuclear power and reminded him of India’s capabilities. He said, “We also have nuclear power and it was even before him.” India never attacked anyone before. All this started from there (Pakistan) and we replied. Even today, we will not use it (of nuclear weapons) unless they use it. But if they use it, we also have. God should never let such a situation come.

Condemning Pakistan, Abdullah said that the Mumbai attack took place, the Pathankot attack and the Uri attack. Pakistan did all this. He attacked (Pak) in Kargil and I was the Chief Minister at that time. He said that they were not involved in this, but when we took strict action, they ran to the US President to ask for help. If they want friendship, such things cannot continue. This has got to stop. But if they want enmity, then we are ready.
