Current running between England and India Test series Both Ben Stokes and Ravindra Jadeja have performed brilliantly by all -rounders, due to which the fans want to know which of the two is a better all -rounder. Now former Indian captain Kapil Dev has tried to answer this question. He said that England Test captain Ben Stokes may have scored 7000 runs and 200 wickets, but he is not the best all -rounder.

Speaking at a program of Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) on Saturday, July 26, the former Indian captain said that Stokes is not even the best all -rounder of his generation and is far behind Ravindra Jadeja of India. One of England’s most influential cricketers in recent times, Ben Stokes ended the drought of centuries while playing against India in the Manchester Test match. With his century, Stokes topped the list of only three cricketers in Test history, who took 7000 runs and 200 wickets in Test cricket.

Kapil believes that in comparison, Ravindra Jadeja has 3697 runs and 326 wickets and is a better all -rounder. The former Indian captain said in the program, “I don’t want to compare. Stokes is a good all -rounder, but I still feel that Jadeja is ahead of him. He is doing far better.”

Many fans also questioned the captaincy of Shubman Gill and argued that the strategic decisions taken by the captain were also wrong. However, Kapil Dev supported the young Indian captain and demanded more time to him. The former all -rounder said, “Give him time. This is his first series. He will make mistakes and many positive things will come out over time. He will learn. It is a young team, they are getting a chance to play and these players will win in the coming days. It takes time for any new team in the world to mold.”
