A new player has entered the Wi-Fi world. This is going to be a big tension for the privacy of AI based technology users. This new technology is named WHO-Fi. Along with the location in it, the camera is also accessed. This technology can identify any person with visual input and can also track it easily. However, it is currently in the technology experimental phase, which has not been tested in the real world.

AI based technology

A research paper related to WHO-Fi has surfaced, in which information has been received about this technology. According to the research paper, it can convert any Wi-Fi signal into a biometric scanner, which can not only track any person’s movement and active positions, but it can also detect their unique biometric signature.

What is WHO-Fi?

Research paper has been published in the online General Arxiv about WHO-Fi. This regular 2.4GHz can identify anyone using a wi-Fi signal and also track it. This technology is being developed for identity authentication and surveillance. However, it has increased tension related to online privacy.

This new Wi-Fi technology works on AI i.e. Artificial Intelligence. It uses Wi-Fi signal and transformer-based neural network. This technology based on LLM can analyze everything, which is called the channel State Information or CSI. This Wi-Fi signal is so powerful that it can monitor every movement of the user and the change in it.

Whenever a person rotates in the WHO-Fi zone, the signals emanating from it collide with them and come back. It works like radar and sonar system, which will work to track the object. If the signals emanating from it make a unique pattern, then they collide with the person’s body and make a based pattern on their fingerprint, facial texture and the composition of the retina. The WHO-Fi system identifies the person through this.

Sign language understanding

Apart from this, there is another special thing in WHO-Fi Technology that it can also understand sign language. Also, if a person comes in its radar even after a long time, it can identify them with their body movement. It works on an antennic transmitter and three antenna receiver. According to research, even if the target is behind the wall, it will be able to identify it with 95.5% accuracy through WHO-Fi. Passive radio frequency is used in it, due to which it is not easy to hide anyone.
