He entered the Parliament by defeating BJP candidate BP Saroj by a margin of around 35,850 votes while contesting from Machilishahar seat for the first time in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. At the time of winning the election, she was just 25 years old, which made her join the youngest MPs in the country. Priya is the daughter of senior Samajwadi Party leader and three -time MP, Stormy Saroj.

Law in studies also topped in studies

Priya did her schooling from Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in New Delhi. He then obtained BA from Delhi University and LLB degree from Amity University, Noida. Priya, associated with advocacy profession, has now practiced in the Supreme Court. She used to come from legally strong background before stepping into politics, and now she is also playing an active role in Parliament after becoming an MP.

Priya Saroj is the mistress of millions, not crores

Discussion of glamor and wealth is common in politics, but Priya’s case is slightly different. According to the affidavit given to the Election Commission, he has a total assets of about ₹ 11.26 lakh. This includes ₹ 75,000 cash, about ₹ 10 lakh in the bank and only 5 grams of gold, which is around ₹ 32,000. This simplicity of the MP who lives a plain life, no land, nor property, this simplicity is also being praised on social media.
