‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’
Ajay Devgan’s ‘Son of Sardar 2’ defeated Siddhant Chaturvedi’s ‘Dhadak 2’ on the third day of his release and won the box office. According to initial trade estimates, it seems that the audience is liking the family comedy more than the love story. Both films were released in theaters this Friday, August 1. Both films are sequel and both are from different genres. Despite this, the comedy film seems to be overshadowing the romantic in terms of earnings.
Son of Sardar 2 and Dhadak 2 Box Office Day 3
Starring Ajay Devgan, the film starring Ajay Devgan earned Rs 9.25 crore in India, while Siddhant Chaturvedi and Trupti Dimri’s film grossed Rs 4.25 crore in India on the third day. While ‘Son of Sardar 2’ has earned Rs 24.75 crore in three days, ‘Dhadak 2’ is behind and has earned Rs 11.50 crore at the domestic box office. Both films are getting a tough competition from ‘Saira’, which stars new actors Ahaan Pandey and Anit Padda in the lead roles. The romantic drama earned Rs 6.3 crore at the box office on the 16th day of its release, making its total earnings in India to Rs 291.3 crore. However, it is worth noting that both ‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’ have received mixed reactions.
