Why did Ranbir Kapoor choose Ramayanam, director Anurag Basu revealed leaving Kishore Kumar’s biopic
Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is in the news these days for the film ‘Ramayanam’. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir is going to play the role of Lord Ram in this film. Ranbir has completely changed himself for this film.
Before this Big Budget film, Ranbir Kapoor’s name was also offered by Kishore Kumar, directed by Anurag Basu. At that time Ranbir had to choose one of the biopic of Ramayanam and Kishore Kumar. Now Anurag Basu has given Ranbir Kapoor the reason for choosing Ramayanam instead of Kishore Kumar’s biopic.

In an interview to the BBC, Anurag Basu told that I and Ranbir Kapoor want to work together for a long time, but could not be done. Ranbir has many projects between which he is stranded. He was very difficult to choose one of two films. He chose Ramayana instead of Kishore Kumar’s biopic.
Anurag said, Ranbir had an option to choose in life and to be honest, it was really difficult for him to start Kishore Kumar or Ramayana.
Let us know that Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu have worked together in the 2012 film ‘Barfi’ and the film ‘Jagga Jasoos’ in 2017.
