New Delhi: It has been a month since the Ahmedabad plane crash. The AAIB, which is investigating the case, has released its preliminary report. The report has revealed that during the Cockpit Voice Recording during the Air India accident in Ahmedabad on June 12, the engine has been recorded between the two pilots during the engine failure.

What happened between the pilots?

According to the AAIB’s 15 -page report, a pilot was heard asking, “Why did you stop the fuel?”, To which the other replied, “I did not do it.” This conversation took place when the fuel cutoff switch of both the engines of the aircraft turned from ‘run’ to ‘cutoff’ on 13:38:42 IST (08:08:42 UTC). At the same time, Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner reached the maximum speed of 180 knots.

Both pilots were quite experienced

During the accident, there were two pilots Captain Sumit Sabharwal and first officer Clive Kunder under the control of flight number AI171. 56 -year -old Captain Sabharwal was a highly experienced pilot, who had more than 15,600 flight hours experience, including more than 8,500 flight hours on Boeing 787. Apart from this, 32 -year -old first officer Kunder had gained more than 3,400 flight hours and was with Air India since 2017. Both had a license and qualification to run a Boeing 787 aircraft.

260 people died in accident

The aircraft flew at 1.38 minutes 39 seconds in the Indian time and a pilot gave a ‘Mede-Mede-Mede’ message at one to 39 minutes 05 seconds. The accident is considered to be one of the most horrific aircraft accidents in India in decades and was the first incident related to Boeing 787 in which the aircraft was completely destroyed. Let us know that on June 12 last month, Air India aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad. 260 people died in this accident. At the same time, only one of the 242 persons aboard the aircraft was survived.
