Why is Mohan Bhagwat meeting Muslim leaders, will be effective to bridge the distance?
Mohan Bhagwat
New Delhi: Although the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh talks about keeping itself away from politics, but it is believed that in the current politics of the country, the wheels of power are found somewhere from the Union Headquarters in Nagpur. At the same time, questions have also been raised from time to time on the Sangh’s attitude towards Muslims. Along with these rising questions, initiative is also being taken to bridge the distance between the Sangh and the Muslims. As part of these efforts, RSS and Muslims held a big meeting at Haryana Bhawan in Delhi today. The meeting, including Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, Dattatreya Hosbale, Krishna Gopal, Indresh Kumar and Ram Lal, interacted with Muslim religious leaders and intellectuals including Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, Dattatreya Hosbale, Indresh Kumar and Ram Lal.
The union described the meeting as positive
The meeting was organized on behalf of ‘All India Imam Arganization’ chief Umer Ahmed Ilyasi in which 60 Imams, Mufti and Mohtamim (Vice Chancellor) of Madrasas were present. The meeting lasted for about three and a half hours and it was discussed on major national issues related to Muslims and it was agreed that this process of dialogue would continue. The RSS described the meeting as “positive” and said that it is part of the “continuous process” of comprehensive dialogue with all sections of the society, which is aimed at how everyone can work together in the interest of the country. Sunil Ambekar, head of the Union’s National Publicity and Media Department, said, “This is a continuous process of widespread dialogue with all sections of the society. Its main objective is how everyone in the interest of the country can work together. Today’s discussion was also positive. ”
Need to remove misunderstandings
On this occasion, Feroz Bakht Ahmed, former Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad and grandson of Bharat Ratna Maulana Azad, said that there is a need to remove some misconceptions for better coordination between the two sides. It can be overcome in a coherent, solid and collaborative manner by both sides. Feroz Bakht Ahmed is also considered a vocal supporter of RSS and BJP.
How to win each other’s trust?
For how the RSS and Muslims can win each other’s trust, there is a need to take consistent steps from both sides. Bakht said that the latest example of lack of trust in both sides is the current Waqf Amendment Bill. The good thing is that this bill intends to remove the discrepancies of the previous system. In the previous system, there was never any help to a Muslim widow, poor student, needy senior citizen or any other destitute person. The previous Waqf system was corrupt and rotten because its keepers looted money only for helpless people. The current government has brought it with positive changes but innocent Muslims are being told that the BJP will rob their mosques, madrasas, cemeteries and orphanages etc., which is a complete wrong thing. Confusion was spread among the people.
BJP lost golden opportunity
Feroz Bakht Ahmed says that this was a golden opportunity for the government to take over the vigorous assets of the executed and make hostels for poor Muslims and widows. Apart from this, money could also be announced for poor students studying in courses like medical, engineering, competitive examinations etc. This would have been the best way to restore confidence between more than 200 million Muslims and the Sangh Parivar.
Muslims should rely on RSS
Bakht said that Muslims will have to change their RSS/anti -BJP ideology. During the elections, he should not chant the mentor to vote for the candidate who can defeat the BJP. Perhaps they do not know that this act has strengthened BJP’s votes. While Muslim votes are rarely united. Finally, the BJP wins the candidate and ignores the Muslim areas, which he should not do.
Bhagwat, a good pacifist
When asked about Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Firoz Bakht said that he is a pacifist and a good spiritual leader of India who never insulted Muslims. Rather, Bhagwat has always been trying to create a bridge between Muslims and RSS as he has been saying that India cannot be imagined without the contribution of Muslims in all areas of life. Muslims like Bhagwat because they said that Hindus should not find a temple under every mosque. The past should be buried and now a new India is being built!
Muslims trusted
Finally, Feroz Bakht said that both BJP and Muslim will remain strong here. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is leading the world as a “world guru”. Muslims need life from governance and RSS also needs their goodwill. He clearly stated for Muslims that the best friend of a Muslim is a Hindu and the best country for him is India. For Hindus, he said that Muslims are patriots and nationalists and should be trusted.
