Why is there a ruckus on E20 Fuel, is Gadkari’s sons connection with ethanol?
Ethanol E20 Fuel: There is a ruckus on 20% ethanol mixed petrol (E20) across the country. However, the Supreme Court has rejected the demand for an option on ethanol-free petrol. This has made it clear that E20 sales will continue in the country. Meanwhile, Gadkari’s sons Nikhil and Sarang’s earnings from ethanol also remain a topic of discussion on social media. What is ethanol: Ethanol is a different type of fuel. Its use reduces pollution. That is, this can also drive the vehicle and will not harm the environment. Since ethanol is produced locally, E20 fuel proves to be helpful for Indian farmers and reduces dependence on imported oil. It is beneficial for both economy and environment. Ethanol, which is made from sugarcane, maize or other agricultural products, is a renewable resource and helps reduce vehicles emissions by mixing it in petrol.
What is the reason for people’s problems: Recently some social media posts claimed that the E20 may enter the tank of vehicles and cause damage. On this, oil companies and petroleum dealers made it clear that no such complaint has been officially received nor any such scientific study exists.
E20 Fuel’s connection to Gadkari’s sons: According to media reports, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s son Nikhil Gadkari’s company ‘Sian Agro Industries’ has registered a big increase in the price of its business and share in just one year. The company makes ethanol. Due to the policies of the government, the company’s revenue increased from Rs 17 crore to Rs 510 crore, while the price of its stock increased from Rs 40 to about Rs 700.
Some time ago, Nitin Gadkari’s family, Manas Agro Industries, was introduced in the brand market of Rum and Whiskey. This company also makes alcohol as well as ethanol.
Isobuutaneol in diesel : After ethanol in petrol, it is now being worked on isobutaneol in diesel. Currently, a mixture of 10% isobutaneol is being used in diesel. It is being claimed that it can help reduce emissions and increase fuel efficiency. Isobuutaneol is a colorless, flamble organic liquid that is used as a solvent for paints and coatings.
