Why is Israel not intercepting all Iran’s missiles, IDF’s “Secret War Policy
Iranian missiles caused havoc in Israel.
Jerusalem: A fierce war has been going on in Israeli-Iran for about 8 days. Both countries are attacking each other with fighter jets and missiles. Israel’s air defense system is famous all over the world. But Iran has caused havoc on many important bases in Israel with its missile attacks that Israeli’s Iron Dome is not able to stop all its missile attacks. But according to the report of New York Times, Israel is not deliberately intercepting all Iran missiles. Israel has its own well-thought out and secret strategy behind this.
How long will Israeli interceptor be in front of Iranian missiles
The way Iran is raining missiles on its other cities including Tel Aviv, the question arises as to how long the Israeli interceptors will be able to stand ahead of him. The answer to this question can determine the direction of Israel-Iran war. The answer is also largely on the possibility of American intervention, which can change the direction of war. Apart from this, two important factors beyond the future of Iran’s nuclear program can decide the duration and form of the Israeli-Iran war. The first is that how big is the reserves of Israeli missile interceptor and second is what is the number of long -range missiles of Iran?
Iran’s initial attacks were failed by Israel
In support of Hamas and Hizbullah, when Iran fired more than 180 missiles on Israel, most of them were successfully stopped by Israel. After this, when Iran started retaliating in response to the Israeli attacks last week, Israel’s world-famous defense system successfully stopped most of the upcoming ballistic missiles. This gave more time and security to the Israeli Air Force for a counter -attack on Iran. But now many Iran missiles are targeting the important bases of Israel. After all, why is Israel not stopping them? … Israel has its own special strategy behind it.
Which concern is harassing Israeli security agencies
New York Times report According to the Israeli interceptor missiles are now using very fast to prevent Iran’s attacks. But the interceptor missiles which are ending to thwart enemies attacks, now Israel is finding it difficult to compensate for them. This has increased the concern among the Israeli security agencies that it should not happen that the Israeli interceptors should be finished before Iran’s missiles are over.
Status so far
According to Israeli officials, Iran had about 2,000 ballistic missiles at the beginning of the war. Half of one of them missiles have now been used either or their storage sites have been destroyed by Israel. This is the reason why Iran is also now featuring very few missiles, probably because it wants to save its limited number.
What is the status of Israeli interceptor
Israel has so far used hundreds of interceptors to prevent Iran’s missile attacks, but how much total used is not clear because some missiles may have been targeted more than once. But Israeli’s security agencies have now started worrying that their interceptors are ending. Till Wednesday, Iran has fired around 400 missiles on Israel, out of which about 40 missiles crossed the Israeli defense system. The rest were either dropped from the interceptor or fell into the empty spaces and the sea.
Israel changed war strategy
Of Newark Times According to, now Israel has to use its interceptor thoughtfully. According to Brigadier General Ran Kochev, former head of Israeli Air Defense, “If a missile is targeting the refinery of the Haifa, it is more important to stop it, but it is more important to stop the missile that is about to fall in the Negev desert.” This means that the safety of densely populated areas and strategic sites is being given priority. So that Israel can save its interceptor to protect them to thwart fatal attacks.
Israel’s air defense system
Israel has the world’s most advanced and multi-layered air defense system. It aims to protect citizens and military bases from rockets, missiles, drones and other air strikes. This includes:
- Iron Dome (Iron Dome) – To prevent short -range missiles and rockets.
- David’s Sling – This is for moderate distance missiles.
- Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 – This is to prevent long distance ballistic missiles.
- Laser Defense System (Iron Beam – Under development) -This is the laser-based system of the future.
What is Iron Dome?
Iron Dome is a missile defense system developed by Israel, designed to kill short distance rockets, mortars, and artillary shells. The system is specially designed to protect civil areas from rockets fired by Hamas, Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations. It has been created by the company of Israeli’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. This has been active since 2011. The US has funded and technical support.
How does Iron Dome work?
Iron Dome works in three main parts.
Radar system (radar unit): Tracks the enemy’s missile/rocket and estimates its speed, direction and potential goal.
Battle Management & Control- BMC- It decides which rocket is dangerous and which is not. The missile is coming towards the populated areas, only those are targeted. This is a price-affected strategy.
Interceptor Missile (Tamir Missile)
Dangerous rockets hit and destroy the air. This collision usually occurs in the sky, causing less damage to the ground. The accuracy rate of iron dome is more than 90%. So far, thousands of rockets have been successfully intercepted.
Why Iron Dome does not stop all missiles?
- Not all rockets are dangerous – if a rocket is about to fall into an open field or sea, it is not intercept.
- Missile speed and number – A large number of missiles tained can put pressure on the system.
- Limited number of interceptors – select missiles are prevented to save resources.
- Strategic priority – Around population or areas of military importance are given priority.
