According to Udayatithi, Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated on 16 August 2025 on Saturday. However, with Smart Mattar, on August 15 and Vaishnavism, this festival will be celebrated on August 16. According to the Hindu calendar, Lord Krishna was born on the midnight of the Ashtami date of Bhadrapada in Rohini Nakshatra and Jayanti Yoga. Therefore, they are worshiped in the house or temple at Nishith time. During this day, they are offered 8 times in the temples of Mathura and Vrindavan, why?

God eats eight times because he offers food 8 times:

8 points were very important in Shri Krishna’s life. He went out as the 8th incarnation of Shri Vishnu as the 8th Manu Vaivasvat’s 28th Dwapar on the night of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada and the 8th was present, when he was born in the most auspicious lagna at midnight. There was only the vision of auspicious planets on that lagna. Then he was born in a yoga called Jayanti by the combination of Rohini Nakshatra and Ashtami Tithi. According to astrologers, at 12 o’clock at that time there was zero time.

It is said that Lord Krishna had 8 wives born to Ashtami. Lord Krishna was the eighth son of Vasudev. They used to eat 8 times, so they offer 8 times. In some temples of Mathura and Vrindavan, Lord Krishna is worshiped as Ashtayam Seva. Vaishnav temples have a specific method of 24-hour service-worship of Krishna, which is divided into eight strokes.
