Widow women will get Rs 4000 every month, this state government decided
A big announcement made for widow women.
The BJP government led by Pramod Sawant in Goa has taken a big and commendable decision for the widow women of the state. The state government will now provide a monthly financial assistance of ₹ 4,000 to the widows whose children are under 21 years of age. The decision was announced after a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Under this scheme, ₹ 4,000 monthly assistance will be provided in the form of ₹ 4,000 in the form of ₹ 1,500 and ₹ 2,500 under two different schemes so far.
How will women get the amount?
According to the information about this decision of the Government of Goa, this amount will be given directly to the beneficiaries through the Social Welfare Department. Widow women will no longer have to apply in different departments. Assistance will start only after submitting the birth certificate of the child. As soon as the child is 21 years old, the assistance amount will automatically become ₹ 2,500.
How many will you get benefit?
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister of Goa State Subhash Faldesai said that the aim of the government is to provide assistance to the eligible beneficiaries on time and without bottlenecks. Under the scheme, currently about 2,000 beneficiaries will directly benefit and this number is likely to increase in the coming times.
What will be the effect of the decision?
According to Chief Minister Sawant, this scheme reflects the government’s thinking of “Sarvodaya from Antyodaya”, where the needy are given priority. Thousands of widow women of the state are expected to get relief from this decision. The government says that this is a concrete step in terms of women empowerment and social security.
