India vs england 4th Test: Before the fourth Test to be held in Manchester, there is a lot of discussion about the playing eleven of Team India. Captain Shubman Gill gave a big update to the team’s current status and possibilities at the pre -match press conference amidst discussions of Akashdeep’s fitness, Pant’s wicketkeeping and Anshul Kamboj’s debut.

The fourth match of the five -match Test series between India and England will be played from 23 to 27 July at Old Trafford, Manchester. Captain Shubman Gill shared some important information during the pre -match press conference held on Tuesday, July 22 on the preparations of the Indian team before this match.

Gill made it clear that fast bowler Akashdeep would not be available for the fourth Test. Akashdeep, who was India’s most successful bowler in the Adjeston Test and took 10 wickets in two innings, Grin is struggling with injury, not available for selection. Gill said, “This is not the right situation, but we still have bowlers who have the ability to take 20 wickets.”

In the absence of Akashdeep, Team India will have to change the playing XI. Arshdeep Singh has already been ruled out of this match due to injury to practice session. According to Gill, Prasid Krishna and 24 -year -old fast bowler Anshul Kamboj can get a chance. Kamboj, who was officially included in the team on July 21, has taken 79 wickets in 24 first-class matches, with a 22.88 Osh and can make his Test debut in Manchester. Gill said, “Kamboj is very close to debut. We are looking at Prasid Krishna and Anshul Kamboj.

Gill also clarified the situation regarding wicketkeeping. Pant, who had done wicketkeeping for only 35 overs due to injury to Lord’s Test, has become fully fit and will play as wicketkeeper-batsman in the fourth Test. In the Lord’s Test, Dhruv Jurlel was kept in the rest of the match, but was criticized after losing 25 by runs.

This match is very important from India’s point of view to stay in the series because India lags 2–1 in the series, so the match will be like or die for India.
