Will the name of New Delhi railway station also change? BJP MP wrote a letter to Railway Minister, demands

The demand to change the name of New Delhi railway station has now intensified. A few days ago, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had demanded the name of ‘Maharaja Agrasen Railway Station’ to be named ‘Maharaja Agrasen Railway Station’. Now BJP MP from Chandni Chowk, Praveen Khandelwal, has written a letter to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and has requested to change the name of New Delhi railway station to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Please tell that Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also supported the name of Delhi Junction to name Maharaja Agrasen railway station.

Khandelwal requested

Praveen Khandelwal, MP from Chandni Chowk, has written a letter to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, demanding the renaming of New Delhi railway station to “Atal Bihari Vajpayee railway station”. He has described it as an important and emotional initiative to immortalize the memory of Bharat Ratna Atal ji in the nation’s capital. On the other hand, he has also requested to name Delhi Junction railway station as Maharaja Agrasen railway station. Khandelwal said that he will soon meet Railway Minister Vaishnav in this regard and will also raise the subject in Parliament in the next session of Parliament.

Khandelwal has written in his letter to Railway Minister Vaishnav that New Delhi railway station is the most prominent, busiest and historic railway station in the country, which serves as the entrance to the capital. It will not only be appropriate to be named after a great leader like Atal ji, but will also respect the sentiments of the citizens of Delhi and the country.

He said that Atal ji’s life was dedicated to nation service, democratic values, and inclusive development. During his tenure, India achieved historical achievements in the field of infrastructure, nuclear power, global identity and economy. He gave direction to the whole country as not only a politician, but an idea, a poet, and a inspiring personality.

Mumbai and Bengaluru railway stations changed name

MP Khandelwal also said that just as major stations like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai and Krantiveer Sangoli Rayanna station in Bangalore have been named after historical greats, the station located in the center of the national capital like Delhi should also be dedicated to the name of a national symbol like Atal ji. He emphasized that this naming will not only be a tribute, but will also become a source of inspiration for the coming generations.
