Manufacturing of electric vehicles will get a boost. With this, big companies of the world will be able to easily invest in this sector.

The Ministry of Heavy Industries may bring the new electric vehicle policy by July. In this new policy, companies manufacturing electric vehicles can get relief in import duty. Along with this, import tax can also be reduced.

Electric cars imported into India attract 70 to 100 percent import tax. But it is expected to reduce to 15 percent in future. A big company like Tata has appealed to the Central Government for this.
