Following the instructions of Shri Dharamveer Prajapati, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Prisons and Home Guards, Uttar Pradesh, arrangements were made to celebrate Karva Chauth for the women prisoners lodged in jails. The Prison Minister had instructed the officials of the Jail Department that such prisoner women who are observing the fast of Karva Chauth should be provided the opportunity to perform proper puja along with their husbands. In this sequence, this opportunity has been provided to the women prisoners observing Karva Chauth fast in various jails of Uttar Pradesh.
