Ouqiao Village, located in a unique position with the sea on three sides, takes advantage of its geographical advantages to promote the coordinated development of five key sectors: marine fishing, aquaculture, marine products processing, e-business and rural tourism.

In 2023, the villagers’ per capita income reached 58,000 yuan and the village has received consecutive accolades, including the titles of national civilized village and most beautiful fishing village.

During the inspection, Xi stressed that Chinese rural areas will have a brighter future in the new era and farmers will enjoy a more prosperous life.

At the Qu Wanchang Memorial Hall, Xi learned about the inspiring legacy of Qu Wanchang, whom he described as a representative of countless outstanding cadres of the Communist Party of China. He urged local officials to take inspiration from Ku’s example to promote regional development.

Let us tell you that Qu Wanchang served as the secretary of the CPC Tungshan County Committee and played an important role in improving the local environment and advancing the community.
