The Rajdoot bike, produced by Escorts Group, was one of India’s iconic motorcycles, especially popular from the 1960s through the 1980s. Based on a Polish bike design, the Rajdoot was known for its ruggedness, reliability, and simple engineering. Powered by a 175cc, 2-stroke engine, the bike gained a reputation for being durable and easy to maintain, making it a favorite among rural and urban riders alike.
The bike competed with the most popular Bullet bike of that time with its sound and pickup. Rajdoot bike was also preferred at that time because it used to be a very economical bike and it cost very little maintenance.
