Yamaha is one of the popular vehicles in India. Yamaha India posted a post on its social media promoting The Call of the Blue campaign. In this video, many such vehicles are seen which can come to our country now. Interestingly, Yamaha’s popular favorite XSR 155 was also a part of this video, from which it is being speculated that this vehicle can now be seen in India.

Although this bike never went on sale in India, the Yamaha XSR 155 has been one of the most popular small bikes in our country. Its special thing is that it is based on the same platform as the R15 and MT15 including engine and chassis. However, it has a modern classic design which is liked by many people. The XSR 155 was expected to arrive on Indian shores long ago, when Yamaha launched the India-specific FZX.

Now, Yamaha is planning to bring several international models to India, including the MT09 which we recently saw in Japan. Yamaha’s promotion video features the MT-07, R7 and Terrain 700, all of which are under consideration for India. Although the XSR 155 being part of the same video could be a hint at its launch in India, we did not get any confirmation on the same when we contacted Yamaha.

If the Yamaha XRS 155 is launched in India and is priced well, it could be a strong alternative to bikes like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin.
