Zimbabwe Announce Odi Squad for Sri Lanka: Zimbabwe Cricket has announced its 16 -member team for the ODI series against Sri Lanka. The biggest news is that former captain and experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Brendon Taylor has returned to the team. Taylor can enter ODI cricket after almost four years.

The Zimbabwe Cricket Board announced its 16 -member team for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka on Monday, 25 August. This team will be led by Craig Ervin. The most important thing is that experienced batsman and former captain Brendon Taylor has returned to the ODI squad.

The Sri Lanka team will visit Zimbabwe in August-September 2025. In this tour, two -match ODI series and three matches of T20 series will be played. The first match of the ODI series will be held on Friday, August 29, while the second ODI will be played on Sunday, 31 August. This will then be held on the T20 series 3, 6 and 7 September.

Brendon Taylor recently returned to Test cricket after completing the ban on the ICC’s violation of anti-corruption rules. Now he can be seen in ODI cricket for the first time since September 2021 against Ireland.

The team under Craig Ervin also includes Star Khiladi like Sean Williams, Sikander Raza, Richard Nagrawa and Blessing Mujarbani. At the same time, Clive Mandande, Tony Munayanga, Brad Evans and Ernest Masuku have also returned this time, who did not get a chance in the previous ODI series.
