India is gearing up for the 2023 ODI World Cup. Apart from the 15-member team, there will also be many reserve players who will be selected. Here, we take a look at a list of two Indians who you might not know were involved in the 2019 ODI World Cup.

The 2019 World Cup took place in England and hence, India had to field some fast bowlers to bowl to the batsmen in the nets. While Deepak Chahar and Navdeep Saini had already gained some prominence, two young fast bowlers also made it to the list. We talk about them below:

1) Avesh Khan

Avesh Khan had a great start to his career with the U19 World Cup. Later, after a short gap, he came back to perform well for Delhi Capitals in the IPL. Soon, he caught the attention of the selectors. Later he also made a place in the Indian team. However, even before all this, Avesh had already earned a name as a good pacer. Therefore, he was selected to help the Indian batsmen prepare for English conditions.

2) Khalil Ahmed

Khaleel Ahmed is one of those Indians who you might not know was involved in the 2019 ODI World Cup. After Zaheer Khan, India could not find any good left arm fast bowler. Many options were tried, including Khalil Ahmed. The left-arm fast bowler from Rajasthan performed well in the initial phase but lost his shine after getting a chance in Team India. Nevertheless, he is back in good form. He may need a good domestic season and then a solid IPL to make a comeback into the Indian team.
