To deal with the flood situation, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Atul Kumar, while presiding over the flood committee meeting in the Collectorate auditorium, conducted a departmental review about the floods based on the geographical location of the district and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned departmental officers.

Irrigation Department officials said that 50 villages of the district are affected by the floods of Yamuna River, including 25 villages of Jewar tehsil and 25 villages of Dadri tehsil. 23 villages of tehsil Dadri are affected by Hindon river. When the water level of Yamuna River is very high, due to back watering, water in Hindon River spreads and flows over a large area.

Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue, while reviewing the preparations made by the Irrigation Department, Veterinary Department, Agriculture Department, Health Department, Public Works Department, Electricity Department, Fire Department, Water Corporation, Supply Department and other related departments, said that the work Situations like floods can be prevented from arising by making policies and plans. Providing advance forecast and warning for flood control, inspection and repair work of embankments, construction of flood posts, reverse flow of flood water in drains falling into rivers, digging of drains, disposal of excess flood water, rescue and relief. And arrangements for rehabilitation work and evacuation of flood affected people as soon as possible, taking them to a safe place and providing relief material etc. should be done by the concerned departments by preparing an action plan.

Instructions given for mapping of cow sheds and preparations

ADM instructed the Chief Veterinary Officer to complete his preparations by mapping the government and non-government cow sheds operating in the submerged area. Also, ensure that sufficient quantity of straw is available in all the cow sheds and keeping in view the floods, the place for the temporary cow shed should also be identified in time. The District Agriculture Officer was instructed to prepare his action plan in advance to protect the crops from floods. He instructed the Health Department officials that keeping the flood in view, Rapid Response Team, Medical Team should be deployed at all flood posts and adequate quantity of ambulances and medicines should be maintained. Public Works Department officials should also visit flood prone areas and ensure action is taken to repair the roads.

Instructions were given to the District Supply Officer that tender should be issued in advance regarding relief kits and food packets and mapping should be done to ensure that there is no problem in gas supply from the gas warehouse which is in the submerged area during the flood. Returns.
