Bhagalpur. Six wedding processionists, including a child, were killed and three others were injured in a horrific road accident on National Highway-80 in Amapur village of Ghogha police station area in Bhagalpur district of Bihar.
District Magistrate Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary said here on Tuesday that the vehicle of people going for the wedding procession from Gobadda village of Kharagpur police station area of Munger district to Shrimatpur village of Pirpainti police station area of Bhagalpur district was loaded with ballast near Amapur village at around 12 o'clock on Monday night. A highway went out of control and overturned. In this accident, six people died on the spot while three others were seriously injured.
Dr. Chaudhary said that a ten-year-old child was also included among the dead. The injured have been admitted to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital, Bhagalpur. He said that administrative and police officers of Kahalgaon subdivision reached the spot and carried out relief work and pulled everyone out from the debris. The deceased could not be immediately identified.
