Electricity bills will also be deposited through banks
Lucknow. Crores of electricity consumers of Uttar Pradesh will soon be able to easily deposit their electricity bills through banks. Apart from this, facility of bill collection and deposit will also be available through many big companies of the state including Rana Pay, BLS International, Sahaj, Vayamtech and Saral.
Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation is making efforts to ensure that consumers do not face any problem in paying electricity bills and can easily pay their electricity bills through banks. This system will start very soon. A meeting was held today at Shakti Bhawan along with officials of major banks and companies along with Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation, Dr. Ashish Kumar Goyal. In which the Chairman said that as per the intention of the Honorable Chief Minister and the Honorable Energy Minister, the Corporation wants to provide maximum facilities to the electricity consumers of the state. In this sequence, efforts are being made to provide this facility through banks and other companies so that consumers can easily pay their electricity bills without standing in line.
Today, representatives of State Bank of India, PNB Union Bank, Indian Bank, Axis Bank and companies participated in the meeting.
Power Corporation has till now provided the facility to consumers to pay bills through various means. Which includes consumers, departmental cash counters, public convenience centres, meter readers, government shops of cheap gas, PACS, internet banking credit debit card on Vidyut Sakhi-UPS0RLM web site, and through mobile app UPPCL consumers etc.
The Chairman says that it is our endeavor that the consumer gets the bill with correct reading and he can easily pay his electricity bill online, at banks or at various counters as per his convenience while sitting at home. Managing Director Pankaj Kumar and senior officers were also present in this meeting held at Shakti Bhawan.
