Tata Power ev Charging Solutions, a Tata Power Group company and provider of EV charging solutions, has joined hands with Indian Oil Corporation to set up fast and ultra-fast electric vehicle charging points across India. As part of this partnership, the duo will install over 500 EV charging points at various IOCL retail shops in major cities and on major highways.

Leveraging IOCL's widespread presence, Tata Power plans to install fast and ultra-fast EV charging across multiple regions. Apart from this, Tata Power EZ Charge app and Indian Oil e-Charge mobile app will provide users the facility to easily find and book chargers.

iocl's future plans

iocl aims to provide 10000 EV charging stations by 2024 and transform its retail network into a complete energy solution outlet. With over 6000 EV charging stations currently in operation, the company plans to expand its reach further.

Tata Power's future plan

Tata Power currently claims 60% market share in the EV charging ecosystem besides being the leader in the electric passenger vehicle segment in India. Currently the company's network covers more than 420 cities. In this, more than 62000 home chargers and 4900 public and semi-public charging points and 430 bus charging stations have been installed.
