The top-5 automakers of the Indian automobile industry, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra and Kia are preparing to launch new models soon.
1. Kia Sonet Facelift
The Kia Sonet facelift will make its global debut in India on December 14, 2023 and will be launched soon after. The updated compact SUV will feature notable changes inside and out in line with the latest Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy. It will continue to use 1.2 liter petrol, 1.0 liter turbo petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engines.
2. 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift
Hyundai will launch the new version of Creta in India on January 16, 2024. It is going to get a newly designed exterior and interior. A new 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine will join the lineup and the feature list will be updated with technologies like Level 2 ADAS.
3. Tata Curve
Tata Motors will introduce the Curve as its new EV in India in the first half of next year and it will be positioned above the Nexon EV in the portfolio. It is claimed to have a driving range of more than 500 km on a single charge. Harrier and Safari equipped with 1.5 liter TGDI petrol engine are also to be launched next year. Apart from this, Punch EV, Harrier EV and Curve ICE are also coming in 2024.
4. Mahindra XUV300 Facelift
The facelifted Mahindra XUV300 will get several updates inside and out. The exterior is heavily influenced by the XUV700 and the upcoming BE range, while the interiors will get a larger touchscreen, updated dashboard and center console, panoramic sunroof, new digital cluster, etc. No changes are expected in the engine.
5. New Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift
The fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift, which has been spotted testing several times in recent weeks, will be launched in India in early 2024. The Swift concept was recently showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 in Tokyo with evolutionary cosmetic and cabin changes and the new Swift will be similar to it. A new Z series mild hybrid 1.2 liter petrol engine may replace the existing K series unit. Manual and automatic transmissions will be offered.
