3 rules of cricket which should not have been abolished:
The rules keep changing constantly in the limited overs format of cricket. The main goal is to make the game really fun and exciting. Sometimes they add new rules that make the game even more interesting, and sometimes they get rid of rules that don't really make a difference. The key members of the cricket board take decisions based on how to make the game better for everyone.

The International Cricket Board has changed or got rid of many important cricket rules. But some of these rules were actually good and should have stayed. In this article we will talk about some such rules which probably should not have been removed.

1. Super Sub Rule.

This rule allowed teams to select one player as a substitute during a game. In 2005, cricket's board members were concerned about the rules of the game, so they made some changes. One of the changes was the addition of “Super Sub”. This meant that teams could have an extra player who could be replaced with another player during the game. However, many team captains did not like this rule, so it was removed. But it was a really good rule for people watching the game.

2. Batting Powerplay

Batting powerplay was a special rule in cricket. This gives the batting team the opportunity to choose when they want to take a particular spell called a powerplay. During this time only three players of the other team could stay away from the center of the field. This powerplay lasted for 5 overs.

But, after the World Cup in 2015, the International Cricket Board decided to get rid of the batting powerplay rule. The batting powerplay was a rule that made it easier for batsmen to score a lot of runs and fans loved seeing them hit the ball very far. Some people think that this was a good rule and should not have been removed.

3. Prohibiting the use of runners

A long time ago when the laws of cricket were first created, there was no rule in them to help the batsman run. But later he made a rule that if the batsman is having trouble running or has any physical problem then he can ask someone else to run for him. That means he can have a runner.

But in the year 2011, the rules changed and now if a batsman is unable to run, he has to leave the game. Some people were not following this rule properly, but it should not have been changed. The reason is that sometimes a player continues to play even after getting injured, which can make his injury worse.
