Peaceful steps to address the Guyana-Venezuela border issue
BY A STAFF REPORTER: The meeting, to be held on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent, was announced after Maduro’s talks with Ralph Gonsalves, prime minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and interim president of the Latin American and Caribbean States, or CELAC.
On developments regarding the Guyana-Venezuela border issue, the MEA said ” We are closely following the developments regarding the Guyana-Venezuela border issue. We are aware that the matter is already being considered by the International Court of Justice. We believe that this issue should be resolved peacefully. And inflammatory steps will be avoided. We welcome the recent regional diplomatic initiatives on the issue. ”
