Sri ganganagar New GSS will be built in Hindaur, Suratgarh at a cost of crores of rupees.

The state government has sanctioned 220 KV GSS at village Hindaur in Rajiyasar subtehsil at a cost of Rs 90 crore. Along with this, a high capacity transformer of 160 MVA has also been approved, now only technical approval is left for this work.
Broadcasting Corporation officials said that with the preparation of GSS, Tibba area will get great relief from the problem of electricity load. You will not have to face the problem of unannounced power cuts. If the work continues even after the start of the project, GSS will be ready in the next 2 years.
According to Discom sources, 160 MVA transformer will be installed on 220 KV GSS. Due to which three 132/33 KV lines will be removed by step down. In this, one line of 132 KV GSS and one line of 40 km in line out will also be connected from Srivijaynagar, Anupgarh. By connecting 132 KV line with 40/50 MVA transformer the problem of overloading will be solved.
By making a ring of Bikaner lines on the proposed GSS in Suratgarh, the 132 KV GSS located in sub division Rajiyasar will get relief from the problems of overloading and leakage. At the same time, the load on 132 KV lines coming from Pallu will also reduce. Apart from all this, the length of 132 KV line coming from Bikaner, 180 km away, will also be used. Broadcasting Corporation officials said that with the formation of GSS, the voltage from Suratgarh GSS to Jaitsar, Jankidaswala, Army Cantonment, Air Force, Sardarpura Bika, Somasar and Kalusar GSS will increase by 33 KV.
