Restrictions on rice availability and export 🌍
Food Corporation of India (FCI) Has informed that there is sufficient stock of good quality rice. It is being sold under the Open Market Sale Scheme (OMSS) at a reserve price of Rs 29 per kg. India has approved export of 2.77 million tonnes (MT) of non-Basmati white rice to 14 major countries, including Singapore, Nepal, Malaysia and the Philippines, to supply rice to Asia and Africa.
Prices of tur dal also fall 📉
In a further relief to consumers, the government also plans to reduce the prices of tur dal. Toor dal was being sold at Rs 160 per kg in November, which will now become Rs 130 per kg. Due to this decline, consumers will get great relief.
