New Delhi: Veteran actor Rajinikanth late on Monday (September 30, 2024) night was reportedly rushed to a medical facility in Chennai. It is being said that the superstar of Indian cinema was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai after he experienced severe stomach pain.
According to news agency PTI, the 73-year-old star is expected to undergo an elective procedure on Tuesday (October 1, 2024). His condition was believed to be stable.
As soon as reports of Rajinikanth’s hospitalisation surfaced online, fans flooded social media with messages of concern. “Hope it’s nothing serious! Get well soon, sir!” posted a user on X (formerly known as Twitter). Another wrote, “Get well soon, Thalaiva. Wishing you a speedy recovery.”

Rajinikanth was admitted to the hospital for a TEVAR procedure under the care of Dr Sai Satish. Hospital sources have confirmed that he is now in stable condition. It is to be noted that the procedure, scheduled for 6:00 am on Tuesday, is a minimally invasive treatment for aortic aneurysms and related vascular conditions.
The Jailer hunk had been experiencing severe stomach pain and an abdominal aneurysm was suspected. A planned cardiac procedure was reportedly scheduled to take place in the hospital’s catheterisation lab this morning. Further details on the matter are still awaited.
